Autumn is around the corner,

As things start moving quite slowly around the house and during the day-to-day thrills of life, I’ve been trying to take a breath over the past couple of days, celebrating the quiet moments of summer, whilst thinking ahead to autumn; my favourite season!!

I love everything that autumn represents – shorter, slower days –and warmer food, with all my blankets out during the evening. Dark mornings dog walks and crunchy leaves.

Our homes should be inspired by the nature surrounding them. For me, in the upcoming season, that’s lots of rusty, brown & orange tones and in the city, a different colour story entirely with rich greys, and dark reflective windows creating various shades of blues and earthy tones.

I want to think about design trends, without forgetting my biggest source of inspiration...nature. I’ll be thinking very hard about the seasonal decor I add to my own home and recommendations for my clients.

I have a cupboard full of large decorative bowls and soft furnishings in those burnt amber and brown tones I tend to start to get out and swap out the summery tones I have had out during the season just gone.
